Salary: Up to €100,000, depending on experience
Working Pattern: Hybrid, 3 days office based, 2 days remote
We are working with a leading building services contractor delivering large scale, technically complex projects across Ireland. Due to continued growth and a strong forward order book, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their Dublin based pre-construction team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Estimator who enjoys working on high value projects and wants long-term stability, progression, and exposure to some of the most technically demanding builds in the market.
As Mechanical Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction phase, responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for mechanical services packages. You will work closely with pre-construction, commercial, design and delivery teams to ensure bids are robust, well considered and commercially sound.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing detailed cost estimates for mechanical services packages
Reviewing drawings, specifications, schedules and tender documentation
Carrying out take-offs and preparing cost build ups
Issuing and evaluating supplier and subcontractor enquiries
Identifying risks and opportunities and contributing to value engineering exercises
Supporting tender reviews and bid submissions
Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders throughout the tender process
Maintaining accurate records and cost data for future benchmarking
The successful candidate will be an experienced Mechanical Estimator with a background in mechanical or MEP contracting, comfortable working on complex, high value projects.
You will ideally have:
Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within building services or MEP contracting
Strong technical understanding of mechanical services, including HVAC and associated systems
Experience working on large scale commercial, industrial, pharma or data centre projects
The ability to work independently on tenders while contributing effectively within a team
Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
Experience using estimating and take-off software is beneficial
Salary up to €100,000, depending on experience
